      3. Also write down the generic feature of your item (generic = what does the item do)

      1. Business proposition (open a Word document or a Google Doc- save as bus_prop 1-5 in your Intro folder and link up (email to each other) and print out when complete - have each member of your team sign the paper
        1. Develop a mission statement – one sentence that explains who you are. If you are an established company, take their real mission statement from their website and tweak it to the product you are featuring
        2. Key planning assumptions (cite sources of information) - This means, what will it take to make your Marketing plan happen? What type of media will you use (tv, radio, internet, FB, twitter, etc.) - How much will it cost? Look up info like the cost of a 30 second ad during American Idol, etc.
        3. Short and long-term goals- must be measurable, specific, attainable and have completion dates ( in regard to plan – like, growth of sales, intro new product, better service)
        4. Target market- identify specific market segments which achieve the goals for your marketing plan.
        5. Define your “value added” concept for your product/service and explain the marketing techniques you have used to increase the value of products or services to your company
