Prep for Writing a Cover Letter
Open > copy > paste into a new Word document the following short artices

- Click the "Home" tab

Write a Cover Letter
In a new Word document, write a cover letter to a business you plan or hope to intern for in February
You will need to go to dexknows to get the local address for one of these businesses in order to address your letter properly.
Your letter must:
- explain you are a student at Crater School of BIS and are interested in interning for...
- express interest and knowledge in the business/industry and describe your skill sets that you think would be a good fit
- internships start the first week in Feb and run for 8 weeks
Save this as "coverLetter" in your Integrated Lit Tri 1 folder
Tips for a Successful Cover Letter
DO NOT copy and paste the template
DO apply the information in all of the readings to your letter.
DO use skills and experience you have currently to apply for the job.
Formatting
Use full block formatting, which means keep everthing to the left, and use justify for text alignment
