How to Write a Thank You Letter
Start by reading this short article Thank You Letters: Guide lines for Writing Thank You Letters by Laura Schneider
Format:
- Full Block – left-aligned, no indents
- Your name and contact info
- Date – write it out – November 13, 2017
- Interviewer's name and contact info
- Greeting – Dear Jack Black:
- 3 paragraphs – short and simple
- Salutation – Sincerely,
Your Assignment
Pick one of the teams you interviewed for (American Eagle, Starbucks, In-N-Out, Target) – strategically, you may pick which on you felt was the best or worst interview
Write a thank you letter – addressed to ONE of the team members who interviewed you
TIP: consult your interview evaluation and use improvements you should make as key points to your letter.
- Get the address to the company online – find the local address!
- Use the first and last name of the person you are writing the letter to
- Don't forget to format correctly and read the article above!
