  2. Digital Media - Class expectations - DM - what is it? Learning Adobe products, topics covered in Digital Media classes include graphic design, animation, audio production, video production, and web design. Project based - Marketing - Looking at Friday being aproject day or an extra learn something cool day or campus/BIS style projects - personal project (have to figure out accountablility)
  3. File Management - In your student directory (u:drive) create a folder > Digital Media
  4. CESPN - Need people for football game this Friday - who is interested? Grip, Camera, Runner - great exposure to what we are doing Gameday - sign up with Rogan
  5. Person to Person Interviews - After completion, students will introduce each other to the class and tell one interesting fact.

  3. BIS Parent Night is this Thursday, Sept. 13th,  at 6:00 PM. Freshman parents will start in the library. Sophomore parents will start in Mr. Warner’s room. Jr./Sr. parents will start in the Tech Center. We will conclude in the Student Center where families can meet individual teachers, learn how to read a transcript, meet Ms. Grush, learn what clubs and activities are on campus and get general questions answered.

  2. Photoshop - Animated River - 2 part assignment - tutorial and your own animation from photos
    • Image files for this assignment are found in handouts>Sinks>Digital Media>River Images
    • This is a super easy tutorial - we wanted to show you how you can make an animated from a series of photos and use the scripts>load stack command.
    • Part 1 - Once you have finished this assignment (saved as an animated gif) upload to our synergy dropbox
    • Part 2 - create your own animation from photos (use your smart phone, we have some small digital cameras/ipod touch) - upload to same assignment to the Synergy Dropbox

  1. Photoshop - Retouch and Remove Images - Learn how to remove unwanted objects, add objects by cloning, and fix other imperfections in your images with retouching tools (Spot Healing Brush, Cloning and Content Aware)
    • Image files for this assignment are found in handouts>Sinks>Digital Media>Retouch
      • This is a 4 part assignment - you will be uploading each of the 3 images from the tutorial video to our Synergy Dropbox and then creating your own image using the Spot Healing Brush, Cloning and Content Aware tools)
      • Part 1 - Once you have finished the video and have removed all the paint from the shirt - upload the Delete_Content image (jpg) to Synergy Dropbox
      • Part 2 - Once you have finished the video and have made a beautiful flower arrangement - upload the Add_Object image (jpg) to Synergy Dropbox
      • Part 3 - Once you have finished the video and have removed the bridge and fixed up the grass - upload the Remove_Object image (jpg) to Synergy Dropbox
      • Part 4 - find an image online where you can use each of the tools you were introduced to - place the original image side-by-side with the image you have manipulated with the 3 tools from this assignment - save this image as retouch (put the psd in your Digital Media folder) and upload the jpg to our Synergy Dropbox

      • Follow along through each of the three videos to learn more about brushes, using swatches and color.
      • Part 1 - upload the colored flower from the first video - experiment and play around
      • Part 2 - using the Color_Umbrellas.psd - you are to recolorize this entire image using Mode>Color and the swatches panel. Make this a unique piece of art. When you are finished, save the psd as an image (jpg) and upload to our Synergy Dropbox
