  • Start a Google doc. Label it "SCRIPT".

  • LAWYERS: Write opening statements for your case. Explain the background on the case, why it is important, the involved parties' perspectives, and what the jury will hear regarding your side of the issue during the trial.

  • WITNESS: Create 5 + questions that your lawyer should ask you about the case. Make sure the first one is, "Please state your name for the jury." The other questions should be open-ended and should share facts about your involvement in this case. Then start on answers to these questions using factual evidence.

  • EXPERTS:  Create 5 + questions that your lawyer should ask you about the case. Make sure the first one is, "Please state your name for the jury." Another one should be "Explain your expertise" and can include education, experience, etc., that would make you knowledgeable in this matter.The other questions should be open-ended and should share information on the case that could help your side. Then start on answers to these questions using facts and research.

  • Each slide should include an example of primary source evidence-- picture, news article, etc. and a brief summary.
