D4 Type Path
Open Adobe Illustrator
After you open Adobe Illustrator, open a new file. Title the file "D4 Type Path"
Make sure the the units are set to inches, and the format is in portrait.
After you open Adobe Illustrator Go to: File > Open > Go to the Shared P: Drive > Handouts > Craft > Introduction >Level D and open the "D4 Type Path".
- After this opens in Adobe Illustrator, you need press F7 to open the Layers Pallett.
- After the Layers Pallett is open, you need to click in the upper right sub menue and click "New Layer"
- After you have opened a new layer, you need to click on the box next to the "eye" in layer 1 to lock the layer.
Type on a path options:
Open your previous document 1 Shapes select and copy (Cntrl C) all of the shapes you created on this page. On your Altered Shapes document paste (Cntrl V) the shapes. Use the Selection Tool (Black Arrow) and Direct Selection Tool (White Arrow) to edit points, scale shape to match the template. To edit type on a Pathgo to: Type > Type on a Path > Type on a Path Options. Clicking on Preview will allow you to see the changes as you make them. MAKE NOTE! One section is alligned to ascender, One section is alligned to descender, and one section is alligned to ascender AND descender.
