Philosophy
Art is a necessary and important part of education. We live in a world where corporations spend millions of dollars each year researching the public’s tastes and tendencies in order to sell products. It is important that everyone is exposed to some basic fundamentals of art in order to understand the impact that art has on our everyday life.
School policies and school work are a reflection of skills and habits that are needed in the workplace. The ability to follow directions, complete and hand in projects, and learn, are skills that you will use later in life in either in continuing education, in the workplace, or in on the job training. Knowledge is power; do not pass on the opportunity to make yourself more powerful.

Art Class Information
Commercial Graphics & Design
Students will create a variety of computer based graphic art projects culminating with students creating a sign, business card, letterhead, business envelope, for a business of their creation.

2D/3D Graphic Design
Students will create a variety of 2D computer based graphic art projects which will then be used as patterns to create 3D versions of the original design.

Students will create a variety of computer based graphic art projects culminating with students creating Roy Lichtenstein inspired Pop Art comic book cell painting.
